ZMAN : But they aren't Sport Peppers either. Totally different. Giardineira is what they're called and they have olives and all kinds of veggies in them.

BrendaT : think the one in Katy has Pasta, not sure, but I wouldn't go here for that. FYI they have great Pasta at Brooklyn Pizza.

chasinghosts : Been to the one over by Willowbrook Mall a few times as BrendaT explained before. I have been taking time lapse photos-lol! The last one looked they had most of the infrastructure and piping in. Looking to go back and see if anything vertical has been added.The new ones are a smaller version and don't have the Italian (Barney's) side attached and they don't have Chicago tamales either. They begin to add more things after they are open. October was the date but there have been some issues with some of the others opening on time around here. Don't think it is the best location but oh well.

RolloTomaso : Hey, we might have to do a KDC meetup there, that would be fun! Or we can just go together too. I moved to Lancaster, PA a long time ago to work at a hospital and Philly's were something I had to get used to for a while because I was comparing them to a Chicago Italian Beef. After a while, I got my regular order down and now I still have cravings for a good Philly sandwich every once in a while. Although they are different for sure, both sandwiches deserve their place in the Beef Sandwich Hall of Fame!

BrendaT : I've gone twice to Katy but having to bring it home to my husband it wasn't quite as good. I never go to Willowbrook.

I agree not the best location. I offered to find them a good one, never heard back. I hope it doesn't flood like Harvey over there.

SteveT : My son used to be a GM of 2 Penn Station Stores in KY. We always loved them so it was natural for him untilhe Graduated College.

I don't like that.They didn't bring the Italian part of the restaurant down! And they aren't decorated as cute here! They can't downsize everything expecting it to take off the same.

BrendaT : I understand but they're probably like everything else and just trying to appease those of us who just want a Beef LOL! I don't really like to eat Pasta from Restaurants, I usually make it better and I cook Italian all the time since my husband is Italian and most of my friends are as well. I don't hardly remember what the inside of the Mt Prospect one I went to in 2023, even looks like. Guess I was anxious. I prefer carry out anyway these days. These stupid teeth I got just don't work right so I have to get creativw when I eat some things, especially sandwiches..

The one in Katy is really big, maybe it has the other items you're looking for.
It's just so stinking far and traffic is the worst out there.
