cbear : Yes but no more than any other summer. Our grass is starting to look brown in spots though. Not good. We need rain really bad.

$450 for electric $385 for water One person. 2500 sq ft one story house. Double windows. I did have new sod that I had to water so hopefully bill should go back down to around $200 which is absurd to start with. My contact ran out on electric. I am now under contract for lower rate so we'll see. Highest bill I've ever had since I moved here in 1998! I'm retired so over $800/mo utilities isn't going to work with my budget!

Toidboid : Best time to shop for electric is December to March. Just FYI. Good luck.

Haven't gotten ours yet. It should arrive in the next few days. I am guessing over $300 since last month was $230.

Ours is too damn high as well, but working from home, AC, and entertainment, doesn't help either.

I'm a senior living in a small one bedroom apartment. My last light bill was $199.98, this months bill is $217.87. I have the thermostat set at 80 during the day, and 78 at night. I also have a fan blowing trying to keep it cool. It's really hard living on a fixed income. It doesn't leave much left over to buy food. My light bill has never been this high, even when I lived in a three bedroom house. Something has to giveâ€¦
