sweetie : Right? Far as I can tell the '3 second rule' isn't a law - it's just something that is considered best practice. But... it is going to be a subjective call on the part of law enforcement for what is considered a 'full and complete' stop. If they go with 3 seconds, then we'll still have to deal with all the stuff after they issue a ticket. Given that hardly anyone does this in real life, I have to think it is more disruptive for people to suddenly start doing it. I've noticed that if you stay at the sign for even a full beat once stopped, the other guy is going to try and go and chaos ensues.

It's sad that one must be reminded to stop at a stop sign or a red light. Furthermore, one should be driving 20mph or less in a school zone. Even for high schoolers, kids think they can outrun cars.

jrw2017 : I usually to wait until my speedometer gets to zero and then I go. But now when I go through Trailwood I'll be counting out the seconds.

oldarn : Especially the bicyclists, they almost never stop.

dan4182 : Well a lot of them think they are entitled and don't have to abide by traffic laws.

dan4182 : No, most bicyclists do not stop. They want us to act like they are a car but they do not want to go by the car laws.
