In order for a kolaches-only vendor to survive, they have to have a steady business of larger, to-go orders. Kolache Factory does a booming business, all over Houston, because they put themselves in the middle of heavy business areas, so people can take a box full to work, or cater for business conferences. Selling a few at a time, here and there, won't sustain them long.

donnatella : I wonder how the one on Northpark is doing - I never see any cars there.

goldie : Oh no I hate to hear that. They had really good kolaches. I loved the bread they used. I always hate it when a another local business closes. Especially a good one.

grinchy: Is that the kolache shop? I was really excited when they came out here, but I was very disappointed when I got kolaches from them. I don't think they were as good as they used to be, or at least not as good as the ones off the Southwest Freeway.

😭 I enjoyed the pastries and the coffee. I have never tried the one on Northpark, it seems like a difficult spot to get out of with the traffic.

Nope : I've been a few times, but you're right about the location. If I'm going out of KW it's not bad. But if I'm buying something to take home, it's not convenient.

Nope : The Kolache Shoppe is not the same as Kolache Factory. Same concept, different places (like Walmart vs Target). The Kolache Factory on Northpark is still open but I've not read a single good review of it since it opened. I've been to other locations that were good. Personally, I really like The Kolache Shoppe (the one that's closing). Sad they're closing.
