Good, if you're going to be that soft over a events like this then quite frankly, get out. Nobody has time for people who get butt hurt so easily. 4951
Maybe it's a good time to teach them that you don't always get what you want and that's how life is. It's this funny thing called parenting, try it. 4951
I've lived in Kingwood for 39 years, and as a life time member of KCC, I've been many times eating hot dogs and enjoying the fireworks. I know exactly where the fireworks have been over these 39 years. My question is, "Why was it moved from one location to another location within the KCC grounds?" Higher elevation is rumored??? Really --- in Kingwood?? Also rumored that the Club decided to move the fireworks so the people who paid $75 for dinner and a fireworks show would be able to see them from their tables inside the air conditioned dinning room. Really?? Certainly hope that this was not the reason. A little history ---- before having it at KCC, the fireworks display supported by many of the Kingwood merchants was always held at the Humble Football Stadium. I personally know one prominent dentist who worked extremely hard every year collecting money for this annual event. And he wasn't paid to do this --- he volunteered every year. Maybe you are too young to remember. And my children grew up in Kingwood too enjoying all the festivities --- many years even helping build a float for the annual parade. I'm sorry some feel your community feels entitled as one stated, "I think the problem with our community is that everybody feels entitled." I, along with many of my friends, certainly do NOT feel entitled. Disappointed, yes, but certainly not entitled. Nor am I alone to voice disappointment --- NOT --- "whining, *****ing, and moaning," as some also stated --- just expressing disappointment. Maybe it would help if people would stop being so defensive and attacking the community for being upset. It's perfectly normal to feel disappointed!! I've read all the comments, and I really did not see anyone who personally attacked Mr. Tony Austin. And I don't remember the Town Center Park asking for help. And if indeed the merchants in Town Center donated to the fireworks, what do they think about their customers not being able to enjoy the fireworks? Maybe they need to get involved and ask why the location was changed. Also, I'm sure there are many people in Kingwood willing to help if asked. Never heard or saw anyone asking the community for help. And yes, the community realizes it is "just" one night out of 365 as someone suggested --- so is Christmas Eve --- and Thanksgiving night eating left over turkey; however, at my age, each night is special --- especially the holidays with friends and family. 4951
I can't believe this discussion is still ongoing...or still going on....or continuing...Hey, lets have a 20 page debate over grammar...makes about as much sense as a debate over fireworks 4951

What is the record for post pages? Are we even close? #yoloswag
People feel like their yearly family  tradition was sold to the highest bidder, so yes its still ongoing and yes they are still upset. You go around Kingwood and its all people are talking about. I agree its time to move on. Just had to post to see if we can get this to 21
