#msg6038468MissAmericanPie : Shopping the Galleria during my lunchtime was the norm for 33 years. It was clean, safe, great sale prices, and easy access from my office two blocks away. They apparently are attempting to make the parking garages safer as they have become prime opportunities for criminals. I would not park there these days. Its sad to see the decline of the Galleria.

Kittle : Given that Galleria has tons of extravagant designer watch and handbag stores, you'd think they'd have made an effort awhile ago to crack down on crime. I think areas like The Woodlands and River Oaks shopping center provide a much better experience for people in the market for those kind of things. I wouldn't even go to the Galleria to eat dinner at this point. Again, very sad that it was once a Houston icon but has been reduced to being compared to malls like Greenspoint. I enjoyed shopping at Brooks Brothers back in the day but there's one we go to in Destin now during off season that's much quieter.
