I agree, this happens all the time and it's just a sad situation for all the animals bred for monetary value. Don't get me wrong though, there are some stellar breeders out there and they take better care of the animals than most people do their children.

@everyone: Lady is doing better, she got some sleep and she got carried for a walk since it was nice this morning. She still has fever. The vomiting has stopped though. She also went poop this morning which is very encouraging and she continues to shed these bugs in her system out. It's probably going to take a couple of months but we have another vet appointment in less than 2 weeks for her second round of shots. I am so very thankful is was not Parvo. That's bad. Meds and probiotics seem to be helping a great deal. Thank you Amazon for having a digital pet thermometer here at 4:15 this morning! No more spikes so far above 103.
Thank you everyone for the dog treats (tips) and their kind words. We're not going to focus on her history or where she came from, we're looking at the future now and her care. Pets are family. Wishing everyone a Blessed weekend! The weather is nicer!
