11 yr old struck and killed riding scooter

Kittle : Children walking aren't sharing the roadways sandwiched in between two 4 ton chunks of steel for starters. I literally have pics of littles on e-bikes on Kingwood drive……there was my 5 ton SUV behind and a truck in front. The little in the middle. He was maybe 5th grade. We were at a stop sign. Why are parents so willing to allow their kids to share the roads knowing way too many text while driving, drink while driving, teen boys showing off while driving……it's insane. No question dangerous…….AND deadly. My heart bleeds for the littles who have and who will die before these are outlawed or greatly restricted.

This is so sad, but I am not surprised. Here in Kingwood, my husband and I see daily, a child riding without a helmet, a child not observing stop signs at all. They are coming straight out of a side street without looking. They come out of the greenbelt without stopping to look for cars. It is going to keep happening because parents are allowing their children to ride these death traps without knowledge of road rules or common sense.
