If you are familiar with Grizzy Hood news, this posting about the okra shortage is definitely worthy for her page. Shortage of okra in Texas at any restaurant is always always a crisis.

donnatella : The best tartar sauce ever. Lubys square fish, extra tartar, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, and fried okra. My death row meal.

OK. I eat Luby's at least twice a month because my boss loves it. I'm so over it. I wish I could find something there that I love, but all I taste is salt. The hamburger steak is edible, and I like the fried fish but I never want a fried meal for lunch on a workday.

The first time I ever had fried Okra was from Ron's Crispy Fried Chicken up front in Kingwood. Random fact from long ago.

SarcasmWins : we tried to grow some in the old air fryer. Used the regular seeds, plants grew normally but when it's time to fry it works best to remove the soil beforehand unless you enjoy an earthy touch in your fine dining experience.
