I don't normally post in the FL, but this does focus on a topic

Right. We are supposed to be teaching our children to be thoughtful adults. Allowing them their voice. Know that sometimes doing the right or wrong thing has consequences. But we must teach them to trust and stand in their convictions. Sometimes you follow the crowd, sometimes we must stand alone. But never be afraid to express yourself.

eighteen : Its Kingwood...I've seen these kids tag swastika symbols and ***** all over town. I also had three kids attend Kingwood High School

Curious who is organizing this and if the school staff is involved.
I can see the potential, eventually, of something going awry and turning very badly.

Disruption would be minimal IMO.
This is breaking down along ideological lines predictably.
I dont see a real need to punish the students,
I am all for shining a bright light on what ICE is doing.

That is my concern as well. I'm not sure if this is organized by anyone, at least not that I am aware of. It seems that the kids might be taking matters into their own hands and have decided to act on how they feel about it. I just hope that it is done peacefully. The staff has my support either way, because I want everyone to be safe.

PlaneCrazy : It's clearly the Students, across America. I think it's great. The teens are assembling. As long as they are peaceful and respectful.

Good for the youth. They are the future. Let them stand for what they believe.

My son will not be punished at home if he participates. It seems to me that Abbott had some hand in this. I didn't appreciate the tone of the email. But regardless, the KHS protest has been changed to after school.
