Yeah... Me too. I'm sorry for your situation
You're not alone! They misdiagnosed me, then lied to us ... literally ... AND our doctor, and then had me "sleeping" in the hall of the ER because they had no room for me in the hospital. And wouldn't transfer me to another hospital.

I like the care better at MH than HCA. If you had to use another Hospital, which one would you use?

That sounds about right. HCA has had horrible business practices for decades. Look up some of the fines and lawsuits. It's in the billions.

Sophos2 : I just found out MH may be out of net work with my insurance. So I need a back up.
Oh that sucks. I'm not sure where my insurance is sitting this year either. Need to do some more research but I have been waiting until after the move.

I had a terrible experience at HCA Kingwood Hospital Emergency Room. Please, please beware of this place. Dangerous, experience....
I had a cerebellar stroke there. I was already in the ER because I thought it was my heart.
Cerebellar strokes come on violently and cause non-stop nausea and vomiting. All I wanted was some zofran but I couldnt get anything for hours. Not till the neurologist saw me and not for hours after that. Meantime they wanted to keep doing the heart tests and I said not now: I was really suffering. At any rate, they told me if I didnt have the heart test when the techs came in, they would dismiss me AMA.
I thought only patients could leave AMA. I mean why would they go against their own medical advice? I was suffering through the stroke and not overly co-operative, but really?
Anyway, I compained to the Patient Rep and they decided to give me two tickets to the movie theater.

I agree. Would never go there again. Nursing care, imo, was awful. They sent me home with some once else's discharge instructions.

What a bunch of amateurs.
They do not show empathy or concern and are not kind.
I left because of it and ended up at an urgent care, where I was properly cared for.

EMS took me to Killwood after I fell outside. I face planted into my garage door on my way down & was knocked out. After 3 hours on a stretcher, an attending doctor "set" my arm & wrists by yanking REAL hard on them. My ulna bone in my arm is off center & my wrists will never heal per the Orthopedic doctor I went to see 3 days later. He offered to "break" everything over and re-set everything… but no guarantee it would work. So no thank you.
icare + 1 more reacted I think The Memorial Hermann Emergency Center over by HEB on Kingwood Drive is a good place to go, too.
