Starting in March, we will be calling 311 to schedule a pick up for our heavy trash. Houston is saying that they're having to go up and down streets and some don't have any heavy trash . It will take them five days to pick it up and then they'll send you a picture of it picked up. It starts March 2. I don't like this at all.

sweetie : when you live in a broke city, ways to attempt to save $ are needed. I'm not sure how effective it will be until they have more people doing the work than practicing modern municipal management techniques.

asasolid2r : This really is not going to save them much. All the money they gave to the fire department and the police department they said they're trying to make up for that. Well, this isn't going to save them very much. Which tells me something is going to go up whether it's our water or our garbage or our taxes
