I am gonna get a lot of hate for this but the Houston rodeo is so overrated. I think NRG is the worst place for concerts. The sound is horrible. I would love to just go see the actual rodeo not worry about all the concerts. I think it has been about 3 years or more since we went. I mean yes the concerts are a bonus fun but I like the bull riding & all the rodeo stuff.
e : Same. The rodeo was a novelty when we first moved to Houston. I received free tickets from vendors, often in the skyboxes. When the concerts featured great talent, we'd go. But the talent level declined to the point where I'd give my tickets away to someone either in the office or in one of the stores.
Everyone has the right to their
own opinion ❤️
I can't believe I have never been.
Maybe I will one day.
It is sad when things are so over priced especially for families.
I remember over 20 years ago going to the the movies with
3 children and 2 adults I was shocked tickets and refreshments easily $100 plus
Oh, I wonder what that is like?
It may be fun to go and less crowded.
I am not a fan of crowds

That beats me. Last time I went it was at the Astrodome. First time I went it was still the livestock and fat show. (Last basketball game was at the Summit.)
It would be nice to just buy tickets to the rodeo without paying the overpriced fees for the entertainers one does not want to see.
Dont forget that the Rodeo donates Millions to scholarship funds in Texas; so that has something to do with the prices.

Fully agree. In the past the performances were priced very economically. The poor sound quality, and distance from the performers, were tolerable at the price. It has now become unaffordable even for tickets from the primary market. Plus, many of the available seat are in undesirable locations. The secondary market for the tickets is ridiculous. I suspect many are being sold by committee members to make a profit. The saying "it's for the kids" has now become secondary to ego enhancement and making a personal profit.
SarcasmWins and Cantaffordthis reacted Well I'm not going lol. I was just thinking this because my entire newsfeed on Facebook and everywhere else is talking about how the prices are so crazy and people really can't afford to go and take their entire families how it used to be for me. We used to go a lot, but I don't really care about the concert because like I said, I think the acoustics are horrible. I just want to see the rodeo part and we were part of that because my kids were an FFA.
