LittleTexas :
I'm not likely to go into Humble to do my shopping when we have so many stores to choose from close to home. I went to one with a co-worker on 1960, when I was working in that area, for a pallet of water for the warehouse. It kind of seemed like a small Costco, which is great if you want or need to shop in bulk.

Joe V's Coming To Humble Just announced that HEB's Joe V's is coming to the old Conn's store in Humble. Will you shop there? www.another website.com/2025/02/joe-vs-humble/

LittleTexas : I heard about this yesterday on ADC. Glad that the vacant buildings will soon come back to life.

Okay that makes sense. I'll probably stick to HEB but it's good there will be another option.

I've shopped at the one on 1960 a few times....It's like any other grocery store except it has a large produce and meat section....They usually have good deals on their produce.....Meat deals are hit and miss.....They used to have great deals on meat when they first opened but the last couple of times I went, which has been months ago, I wasn't impressed...But I could have gone at a bad time.....

NeverPayRetail : Do they have the same products as H-E-B just a smaller selection or cheaper brands?

Weathergirl5 : Some stuff is the same. Frozen food is priced the same. Bread is cheaper. I think the produce is comparable, and some other stuff is cheaper within the aisles. Seasonings are different. Won't find any Kinders there, that's for sure.

I'm hoping this rumor is true as it's always nice to have more "grocery competition" in the area.....Now when I take my occasional trip to Sam's Club, I can swing by the Joe Vs to check out any deals.....

EddyFree : Someone was telling me that the Mi Tiendas off 59 has the meat sales, on Sundays I think. They also said you have to go early, because the line is long.

eighteen: … but dry I know that conscious are traditionally a little bit dry because in the Latin culture, they often dip them in their coffee, but theirs are Too dry.

LittleTexas : The boys love them. I can barely eat three rolls at Texas roadhouse, so I'd probably die trying to eat one.

Here's the latest "Weekly Ad" for the 1960 JoeVs, for those interested in what they carry and some pricing:

Interesting. I'll probably just stick with H-E-B but it is good to have another option out in the area. I like the H-E-B brand products but a lot of the Hill country fair products. I don't like that much.

LittleTexas :
I saw they put up a fence and started to bring in equipment. I thought there used to be a grocery in that center before Conns so I think the area will benefit. I've passed a JoeVs but was never able to stop. I think a discount grocer will be good.
