I love Whole Foods too, and like you, mostly for the deli. I'd love to have one here, but I don't think the Kingwood area could support it. I really like Sprouts too, and I'm hoping they get enough business when they open. Not at all worried about Trader Joes.....as close to bulletproof as you'll get.

cbear : Yes, the Sprouts is going in where the old HEB was on WLH and KW Drive.
@CatalinaKitKat: we dont need as many grocers as we have
id rather have a WF instead of sprouts I have walked into them in Florida, and walked out without a thing. Prices were high there, for nothing remarkable. Just mho

I feel like I would most likely want to go to a Whole Foods rather than a Sprouts store, but I don't get to make these decisions. Lol. That salad bar did look good, and the bag was cute, too.
@CatalinaKitKat :
I agree; went to check out some muffins for our beach patio breakfasts, and 4 were $5.99. WalMart makes delcious, larger blueberry streusel muffins, and also mixed flavor packages, for only $3.98. They have a new lemon blueberry, that I really want to try, too.

still not worth the price, to me, just because they stamp that word on the package..."organic' has such a loose definition, these days.

Finally went for the 1st time yesterday. Hubs rushed us as it was our 3rd stop. He wanted some cheese there. I wanted to look around more. He always prefers HEB. I am ready for Sprouts to open, it will be closer to the house and not such a hangout as WF in TW.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I agree on the Salad bar! They are so hard to find anymore since Covid.
Same here, this one is immaculate, and there are so many ingredients. I can get some of the 'debris' items, and then buy my own greens/lettuce, and easily make 2 big salads at home, adding the fun from their salad bar, so it's a good deal.
Love Whole Foods but we don't need one here. We are now blessed in KW to have awesome options!!!

Several years ago, when my daughter lived in the St. Louis area, a shopping center near her home had both a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe. Food prices were so high at the major local chains, Shmucks and Diertbag, that Whole Foods was her go-to store for most of her groceries. No HEB, and not even Kroger in those days. St Louis people supported their local businesses, no matter how overpriced. (Years before that, I used to smuggle Coors into town, until guys with big metal bulges under their jackets told me to stop.)
