I asked a chaser I follow and trust about storms & timing for the Houston area:

"By about 1pm on Friday there should be scattered storms - but the severe threat looks on the low end for SE Texas."

StormChaser : Please tell your storm to hold off until 10;00 Friday night. I want to get home from my trip and sleep in my own bed

Future models - as of right now - are showing an 11PM arrival time.

This model is probably a bit overzealous on the intensity but you get the idea.

This could certainly change so I'll keep Ya updated! 😉

More near-record warmth is expected today, but change is on the way!

A cold front moving through the area late Friday will usher in a return to near-seasonal weather.
