Donnawisdom : I got shingles even after the vaccine.

LizBeth91 : No way would I not get the shingles shot. If you do get it I think you get a milder case.

Donnawisdom : When I had shingles I had on forehead and around eyes. Mine just itched, thought was an allergic reaction to something till doc said was shingles. Worse thing for me was swelling on one eye, looked like had been punched. It never hurt though, so was lucky.
Donnawisdom : I hope heals quickly and does not have it in his eye or head. Hubs is much older than your son, but he is still having nerve pain 2 months later.
My son just came downstairs and said I needed to look at something. He took off his shirt and he has a rash that has blisters. I said he needs to go to the urgent care on WLH by the bank. I think this is looking like shingles. He is 38 years old. Butler said he is too young for shingles. I said I knew of a girl that got it when she was 24 years old. If it is shingles I wonder if they can give something for pain relief.

Labslady : LizBeth91 : Sorry to hear this let alone.....10 days before Christmas. Tossing in my experience. Stress is most DEFINITELY a trigger. I had it on my face. I was told that (lucky me) that is the worst location to have it as facial nerves are pervasive and incredibly sensitive. It was on the right side of my face. Lost some hearing in my R ear. Much of the right side of my face is still numb. I took so much Lyrica for the pain which has side effects that last long term. I am 10+ years out from my experience. I still get some occasional shooting pain in that location despite getting vaxed.
