cbear : these photos were taken randomly in my neighborhood on different days, I have thought about going to the police station begging to give safety lessons in school for these kids. they need that at the very least. Stay tuned. parents need to know please note - these are not bicycles. They are motorcycles and motorized scooters capable of 30 miles an hour.

Thank all of you for your posts. I hope this concern saves a life. Parents need to wake up. I see these kids almost daily - it's all over Kingwood. I'm in Kingspoint and it's a concern I've had for quite some time. I even had a young boy on a scooter pass me!! I should have followed him. I hope the local police can help before it's too late.
sellbuy : Hopefully threads like this will wake people up. At a minimum we owe it to the kids to do in school safety lessons. I cringe when I think of the glut of these little rockets hitting the roads after Christmas.

Ruger5 : Parenting ...is just so different now. I think technology has a hand in this. I know that I sound old but... I didn't have a cell phone. I rode my bike to the Community swimming pool all Summer (YMCA Kenwood Ohio). No helmet. No knee pads. The only bad thing that happened was that I passed out from the heat and hit my head. Woke up in an ambulance on the way to get stitches in my head. Everyone there knew me and my Father was a local Physician. I guess that is how they got in contact with my parents to come and get me. There was one road on my way there that was particularly narrow and made me nervous but I was taught to pay attention .

msuz Ruger5 : I while back I was pulling out onto WLH from a store and saw bikers on my right that had left from CWM. I looked right then left but wasn't enough time for me to pull out yet. Looked right then left and was double checking back to the right and they were in front of my car. They didn't bother to stop or better yet go behind my car where there were no cars. I said my prayers that day.
