Lakewood church

It is because of scams and abusers that a lot of churches do not do charity at the church itself. Ours collects for several organizations and takes to those so they can vet and distribute. We do not have the staff to do it at our church. The "big box" churches get a bad wrap IMO. Yes, they could probably do more, but until u see their P&L (whatever a nonprofit calls it) we shouldn't throw stones. Same w people. I know for a fact we have very generous people here on KDC that most would never know how much they donate and do w their $$. Its really none of our business.

Churches don't push people to have babies, at least none I'm familiar with.

I have nothing to say about Lakewood either way, but will say that I would doubt the legitimacy of a plea made by phone once I discovered the caller wasn't local. Further: "These are the same people that push people to have babies," Monroe said. "They won't even help you feed your baby, keep this in mind." Ms. Monroe shows with that quote that she has an axe to grind. Churches don't push people to have babies, at least none I'm familiar with.
