Well the problem is you can't have it by your house because of the emissions. I paid extra to get a very quiet one. But you know people are cheap.

Mine is behind my garage, but I am beyond the easement so it was ok (about 25 ft from fence line, utility easement was about 10 ft from fence on each side). People behind were ticked they could not put one behind their garage, but they have less than 10 ft from back of garage to fence. They had to put on side of garage facing their back yard. It's usually utility easements that dictate where you can place it, and home safety as well.

Our unit is installed in the only place they could locate it that would work. We had no choice on location.
