Chrysanthemum : there's some revisionist history in your post. The 2013 bond election was no landslide it was a 53 to 47 score on issueing new bonds on the rat zoo. Ol' Ed turned off the faithful when he pulled an endaround in 2016 and tried to get the court to sign off on a $100 million of county budget funds instead. In retrospect it might have put us in a better place today as the place continues to rot.

It is time to go no one is going to turned into a grand hotel or palace. Not sure if this actual but what I have read in the past you cannot enter the dome without a Hazmat suit. There was never a vote to tear it down and now that's it's a "historical building" I'm sure it would take millions in legal fees and political payoff to get it removed.
