cbear : There's no information on their website so I left a message at their number. This isn't life threatening but it's likely the ear flap becomes disfigured if treated after 2 days, and of course we don't want him to be in any pain. All this is likely due to an ear infection and he's been shaking his head off and on bursting a blood vessel in his ear flap.
LizBeth91 : How is your pup today? Any updates to your post?
LizBeth91 : Ours had this. Vet said to put drops for ear infection to stop shaking. The hematoma cleared on its own. Just took some time. He didn't think surgery was necessary.

luannski They turned me away the last time I went because my issue wasnt dire enough for them(Dog had a benign growth on his neck that he started......eating)I imagine they would do the same foe this.

cbear : And Everyone else that helped me and our sweet pup: I was able to get an appointment and we had a great experience at All Community yesterday. He was given good meds including a steroid to help reduce the swelling slowly with watchful waiting over the next couple of weeks. Even though the size looks big (about 1/3 to maybe 1/4 of the total ear flap) to me, it's likely to reabsorb slowly. What I liked best was the sweet nature of both the vet tech and vet. They treated my doggie with great care and empathy. The administrators up front were so very kind, even after doggy decided to pee on their rock wall 😳 Thanks to all here that helped me with all your comments and information. I felt stronger for it.
