Sisyphus : It's a tough decision. I don't tolerate drugs well and already deal with TMJ. Osteoporosis drugs can have a negative side effect on jaw bones. Scary.
That is exactly what I wanted to hear as I do not know anyone who has used a vibration plate. Amazon has a variety of them. It may be worthwhile for the known benefits and just pray it benefits osteoporosis. May I ask which one you have?

Thank you. So far every drug has serious issues for jaws and femurs. Exercise and calcium apparently are the safest. The vibration plates look promising.
Weight bearing exercise is essential although its easier to exercise when you are younger. Lol
Again, thank you. I am leaning towards getting one. The basic vibration may well be beneficial, some of the exercises could be a bit much for our age.
And, I'm sorry I forgot to thank you for the tip! Thank you! I think you will like the vibration plate!
I feel and understand for you
My doc recommends Prolia shots - one every six months. But my new insurance won't cover it, and it's pricey.
Ooooohhhh those stones are painful! A counselor at a vitamin store recommended vitamin K2 to direct the calcium to bones instead of arteries. Calcium supplements have some issues however my doctor is highly recommending them. I am finding ways to increase calcium intake without supplements or at least minimizing supplements.
I have it and I am not able to take calcium pills because of kidney stones.
My problem as well. Kidney stone lodged in my kidney opening and I almost died with that.
I reluctantly take calcium supplements sporadically as they can create issues. I am going to try one that includes vitamin K2. Have you considered a vibration plate? They can be quite expensive however there is a wide selection very reasonably priced.
I have had so many over the years, most are small. I had to be hospitalized twice. I don't care how tough you think you are when they get stuck the pain for a man is terrible. It will put you on the ground. I am not saying it isn't painful for ladies but oh my for a man.
That sounds so bad and painful. I understand. Thank God you were able to get it taken care of. I once drove from Katy to KW in sooooo much pain. It was only by God's good grace I made it.
