Kingwood middle school had over 100 men volunteer to greet kids

As a boy at that age I looked up to a lot of business men in our community but would only see them occasionally even in a smaller town of 25k. It always meant the world to me when they would acknowledge our presence by coming to sporting events or other school activities. Of course that was a different time and most mothers didn't work or were teachers so that is who we would see more regularly. Carpool, after school, etc. Perhaps this was directed more towards the young boys which necessarily is not a bad thing.
