On our walk to KMS this morning this guy was out for a stroll. Grand almost stepped on him. Dude ran over him w bike not seeing him and he decided nope, and headed back to the woods
Txbutterfly : FYI - we saw a bobcat around 12:30 in the KMS area.
Wiseowl : Eastern hognose snake, and harmless to people.

Txbutterfly : Husband saw this one at mailbox. I don't know what kind it is, but it's pretty.
Wiseowl : That is juvenile Hognose...scary looking but not a bad one. The Copperhead in the OP's picture will hurt you though! 
If the kid ran over him, he'll likely die in the woods. Despite them being poisonous, they have no interest in interacting with us. Chopping their head off is just mean.
