Ticagro : I have a full time job, 2 kids a house and myriad of hobbies and responsibilities and I find time for my steps. Saying you dont have time is a excuse. You can make time if you make it a priority. Its just like saving money. It hurts now, but you'll be happy you did it later.

ZMAN : Are you away from home 15-20 days a month? If you consider that to be an "excuse" then you've obviously never done that for 30+ years.

Thats only about 7-8 miles, so a 1 hour to 1.5 hours of walking a day and just regular moving around will get it done. Not that hard.

ZMAN : Saying "not that hard" regarding exercise is the definition of health privilege and ableism - many people struggle with chronic illness, long covid, autoimmune, fibromyalgia, cancer, etc. It is very hard for a lot of people to even take care of the small things - I have a few friends that a shower takes them out for the whole day. Many of these illnesses are invisible. Have you heard of the spoon theory?

Yeah, for some reason, walking or running on a treadmill, just doesn't do it for me. It just doesn't even feel natural.

Weathergirl5 : But for those who prefer to sit on the sofa and watch Netflix all day, the treadmill is a great way to get the steps in at the same time. Just prop your ipad on the front, and walk while you're watching. Love to read? Listen to an audiobook while getting in the steps. With the iFit program on my treadmill, I can travel all over the world in the comfort of my own home. Emoticon

Ticagro :
When hubs traveled extensively he still worked out- whether in the hotel gym or walked outside. He'd Google walking trails and parks. He was training for races and marathons during that time and had to log those miles.
