Radar update - 5:45PM We've had a mainly rain free day, but activity is picking up as the low pressure moves closer to land, so look for some scattered showers and thunderstorms for your Friday evening. Watch that black area for new storm formation in the next couple hours. Those will move into Kingwood as everything is moving west. We have decent rain chances overnight (30-40%) when the area of circulation moves ashore but nothing extreme. I'll update in the AM or overnight if needed.
StormChaser : We were at Los Jarritos and saw it coming through the trees. Beat it home. Love the rain! PTSD driving in it though.

9pm Expect a much needed lull here for a while but more storms are expected overnight. That lightning was intense! ⚡️

StormChaser : Of course it rained this evening. I caved and hand watered a lot of plants this afternoon. Most thankful for the 1.75 inches of rain.
StormChaser : We were in the pool and it rolled in quick! Dark clouds with a pretty rainbow here in Porter.
