I dealt with the same when I first moved here 8 years ago. Eventually I landed a job as an overnight shelf stocker at Walmart for minimal pay. All I can say is, don't give up.

Sorry, to hear of your situation but what experiences do you have? Check Indeed for jobs in the area too. There are plenty driving and warehouse jobs.

PatrickStar: mostly good advice, I would also check with delivery companies like Amazon, UPs , Dhl and Fed Ex. If you have a fairly clean driving record, they always seem to be hiring and I have known people who have made a career out of those jobs.

Shot in the dark. Anyone know how to make a few grand quick and legal? I moved to Kingwood a few months ago and, for some reason, I can't get a job. I'm afraid I am about to lose my car and probably my house. Even tried a GoFundMe, but that's not going anywhere. I don't know what to do. I can't even get callback from Walmart or Whataburger. 😔
