Problem is there is a lot of unused space around us

Donnawisdom : And someone owns that property and pays taxes on it. It will inevitably be sold and developed. I don't like it either, but like it or not, development will come.

When we moved here, they said the population was 40,000 and would grow to 60,000. We're at 80,000 now and growing, but our roads have not kept pace with the growth. And the main streets in KW are in poor condition, just like most of Houston's streets and roads. It chaps my hide every time I drive down KWD because it feels like I'm riding on a rollercoaster filled with potholes.

Ruger5: Texas gets those from the West, Florida gets those from the NE, including NY. I have recently spent a lot of time in Florida. In the town I stayed in, there were as many, if not more out of state license plates as there were Florida plates.

I am not shocked with the growth. Seen many areas in SoCal and NorCal go through these changes. It was Inevitable . Only difference the ability of work from home for many people and the lack of public transportation. (NorCal has BART and MUNI)

Many will come to Texas for obivious reasons and to escape their failing states and cities. Houston including Kingwood will get more population. Just the way it is. I've been to many places in America. Just not that nice. My opinion, they destroyed thier areas themselves and will move to nice areas with the same mindset. Harris County has that mindset already. IMO.
