In East End there are so many copperheads out in plain sight. One visit we saw 8 copperheads on or near trails. My DH had to stop a lady jogging that was about to step on one. She had headphones and couldn't hear him so he had to get right in front of her to get her attention. She was thankful but I am sure she was thinking she is about to get attacked. I do not understand why people wear both earphones while jogging or walking. You need to hear what is going on around you.

I see them on GC's sunning themselves on the fairways or in the lakes. If I hit a bad shot that goes in the water with gators, I just move on. My concern is not the gators but my biggest fear is copperheads if I hit the ball in the woods.
