Graduation 2026- feeling irritated that NRG is not available, I

One of my sons graduated from AHS in 2020. The stadium was ok. It was simply beautiful. Yes we watched storm clouds swirl and it was humid, but it was wonderful.

I've seen people suggest the Feritta Center at U of H, but it has a capacity of roughly 7,000 while Turner's is roughly 10,000. Turner really isn't a bad alternative. It's sentimental, cost effective, and close to home.

I know I'm annoyed, too! I really hope we can secure something nice for next year. I really hope it isn't Turner. I don't want to hope for good weather.

DDSS : Turner Stadium is more than adequate for graduation ceremonies. I graduated there in 1995, it used to be the standard venue for Humble ISD graduation ceremonies.

1836 : I understand completely 100%; however, it is May. It's hot and humid af outside. I would personally rather be indoors.

I graduated from Kingwood in 1990, It was held at turner stadium in Humble. I have zero bad memories. Personally going all the way to NRG for a graduation where you cant even see who's walking across the stage just so i can sit in AC is silly.

We walked the stage at the UH basketball arena. I would have preferred walking at the KHS football field at dusk over driving downtown on a Friday to a building that held no meaning to me.

Our grandson's graduation this year is at NRG. We are dreading the traffic and parking issues as there are graduations every few hours all day long. His is the second one at noon.

YES!! They have been through soooo much, and are resilient and take every thing with a grain of salt. At this point its hard to shake her up- she doesn't seem to care at all- it's just me being whiney lol.

cnmmom82 : Moms take everything to heart. 😍 Its ok, no one can control these things and they are already learning life can be hard, or disappointing. Use it as a learning moment. It's so important they learn to navigate these situations and stay focused on the positive. Make the best of it. It can be wonderful where ever it's held. It's a milestone in their life! Make a big deal, enjoy the moment and celebrate in a big way!

Graduated Turner stadium back in the day. Good to have it local and pump all that after grad dinner money into the local economy.
