BrendaT had a conversation with Fred Flickinger's office and they were made aware of it. The cleaning of Kingwood median days are one start, but those are few and far between. If people would call or write his office, that would have let him know it is a hot topic. We might want to check with the two guys that were clearing last week and see who they are working with. Start a petition for this to be a priority is another possibility.

ZMAN : That weed is my husband's worst nightmare. One will pop up and he pulls it out and the next day it's back even longer. I recall watching a show about a murder and it was in the NC area and they call it the "kuduz season" because it is a good place to dump a body. Just FYI😂

ZMAN : Yea I started seeing that after Ike- they cleared all the trees and vines along the electric lines and the kudzu took over. It was growing bad along the green belt between the Baptist church and Kingwood Dr in Sand creek . Also in the remote parts of Kings Point by East end!!
ZMAN : Neighbor's lawn company brought potato vine on their equipment. Neighbor would do nothing, even when I explained it would kill everything. I kept pulling it out & placing on her property to give her a message that it needed to be dealt with. She did not comply. It kept encroaching and killed several bushes. It spread fast. I worked on pulling the vine every day.

If you stop to look around you will see this vine growing literally everywhere. It grows FAST and FULL and chokes out everything else around it (including the trees).
It happened so slowly that most of didn't even notice it but if you know what to look for you will see it EVERYWHERE.
Im not sure what the answer to this problem is, but I think more people should know about it. Its not going to go away and it will continue to get worse and it will kill many trees if its not stopped.
Here are just a few shots I of some bad patches of it on the greenbelt in woodland hills where it is completely choking everything else out. Once you know how to spot it you will see how bad it is.

ZMAN! I saw Kudzu destroy many stretches of highway in Georgia, and I know it is a problem. I even wrote Fred Flickenger about it, and he said they were aware of it and trying to address the issue.
