Rain totals are continuing to drop - 2-3" forecasted for Kingwood as of Tuesday AM. 🤞 PCT 1 is expected to develop into a Tropical Storm in the SW Gulf before making landfall in Mexico late Wed. Locally no inland tropical storm products are in effect, but we can still expect:
-Locally heavy rainfall mainly south of I-10
-Hazardous beach & marine conditions
.......... I'll post Space City's update this morning when it comes out but I'm sharing the graphic below and some info because I keep seeing it everywhere.
1ï¸âƒ£ Yes, after this current system (Red 80%) moves into Mexico, and brings us all this expected rainfall, there is expected to be yet another wave behind it, which is labeled yellow at 20% chance of formation atm. 2ï¸âƒ£ It is WAY too early to forecast anything concrete this far out - so I won't. 3ï¸âƒ£ I'll be focusing on storm #1 until the second develops (if it does) or the first passes, whatever happens first. June is a month where the Gulf can and has seen a lot of activity in the past during this time frame. In the past 10 or so years, June has been relatively quiet for Gulf formation but that is obviously not the case this year.
This is just another *reminder* to be prepared NOW as these storms can pop up quick in an environment like this. El Nino is officially over so any area of disturbance that arises will have to be watched especially careful. www.foxweather.com/w eather-news/el-nino- enso-status-hurrican e-season-over-2
