I am soooo sorry for you. If I was still there I'd bring our big gennie and our portable AC unit to you!
I don't blame you wanting to get a whole house generator!!
As much as I'd like to get one I just can't justify the cost... the generator I have now runs the house but no ac... I'm just gonna get a bigger portable and wire in a plug to run the whole house and ac... way cheaper just gotta plug it in and keep it gassed up... we're in bear branch and no power since Thursday evening
Wow that really sucks and it's hot. My Mom lives in Atascocita and her power hasn't went off. She probably wouldn't care bc she loves the heat.
I totally understand your position. For years other family members had generators but I couldn't justify the initial cost much less the ongoing maintenance costs. As we got older and more frequent outages, we just did it. I hate the expense but love the convenience. Hotels would be cheaper but being home is worth it. If we were younger, we would probably tough it out.
I believe they are saying "late Wednesday" just to squash the constant need the public asks for updates. My Spidey Senses tells me us with Hispanicness' heritage & or Redneckedness' in our blood will have it done mostly by Sundi, or Mundi nite.
Good deal. That works great. We tried the portable generator route initially. DH was travelling for work a great deal and I couldn't physically handle the generator.
We bought a portable ac unit when outer ac took a poop a few yrs back. It was the best purchase ever, and kept me sane.
Really hoping with the crews in the Kingwood area that they get your power restored tonight. I drove around and counted at least 10 trucks. 🤞
