The Kolache Shoppe in the HEB Center has unfortunately closed. From their FB page: As we embarked on this franchise journey, we knew it would involve taking risks and encountering a few bumps in the road along the way. With the opening of our Kingwood franchise, we faced numerous challenges that ultimately hindered our ability to perform well in that market. Therefore, after careful consideration, we, along with the Kingwood franchisees, made a difficult decision and have closed that location. However, we firmly believe that failures serve as valuable learning experiences and we have embraced this challenge as an opportunity to grow. Looking ahead, we are filled with anticipation for the future. We are excited to announce that another new location is on the horizon, and we can't wait to share the details with you soon. Your unwavering loyalty has been the driving force behind our success, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support. We are here to serve you at our Greenway and Heights locations and, very soon, at our brand-new Pearland location! 💙
Hubs loved their Kolaches and the cinnamon rolls were to DIE for!!
I have never been. I had heard they open when they first opened but then I forgot about them. And I don't shop at H-E-B so I would've never got a receipt with their info on it. Hate to see a new business move out.
In order for a kolaches-only vendor to survive, they have to have a steady business of larger, to-go orders. Kolache Factory does a booming business, all over Houston, because they put themselves in the middle of heavy business areas, so people can take a box full to work, or cater for business conferences. Selling a few at a time, here and there, won't sustain them long.
