I read on weather.com com this morning that 11 people have died in the past 2 weeks from the deadly rip currents in Florida.

@NullAmpersand : You swim in the direction of the riptide, which is generally away from shore until the strength of the tide decreases, then you swim parallel to the beach to where the water is calmer, then you swim in. It takes a lot is mental discipline to swim away from the shore.

StormChaser : Thank you for that News account. Rip tides are super scary! I was caught in one once. I was trying to swim to shore & realized, oh, Rip Current! So, I swam parallel to shore & ended up far away. When, I finally got in, I had to walk a mile up the beach to my blanket & was super tired! They take many people down because they don't realize & panic. Prayers to his Family & Friends.🙏😘

I read an article that three people died at Panama beach. One from Texas, one from Tennessee, and the other the didn't say.
They blamed rip tides being really bad right now.
There are hurricanes in the Atlantic and the waves, rip tides are stronger than when sea skies are calm. They may be breaking up but Bret and Cindy? is out there. Don is next up.

StormChaser : Those currents, especially in this heat, are So bad. I have do not go out above waist deep in the ocean, any longer. They were a bit out, at a sand bar, which I see a lot of people doing in Destin, and those waves can get rough. Such a tragedy , in so many ways
