I just called 311 and made a report took no longer than 5 mins. I highly recommended you guys call and report this if it's happening at your house so we can maybe get these guys to come out and fix this ASAP.

Thanks 4951

Humble Mommy:
I'll be back in town tonight and if my water is colored, I'll also call 311.
I think it may be a good idea for everyone to start reporting it every time. Maybe that will get the necessary attention.
Bad water, in my mind, is just not an option.especially when our water bill has soapy taxes and other service charges attached to it.

We live in Elm Grove and have this problem regularly. I have called 311 3 times in the last few months but the problem persists. I called our city councilman Dave Martin yesterday and his office has contacted public works. I was promised a response and will post when I get it. Call his office!!! 4951

If the COH is tying in new lines or replacing sections of old lines you will have this.  You will also have this if you just turn your water off at your meter and back on.  There is sediment that builds around meters and with pressure changes is flushes through. If it's minor, all you have to do is run your water from your tub for five to 10 minutes and the same from your sinks.  Toilets have to be flushed and then likely have the tanks rinsed a little.  The city annexed Kingwood for its tax dollars and then jacked water rates to help pay for aging infrastructure in the older parts of the city where people still have low rates or don't pay.  If you like this type of treatment, go ahead and cast your vote for Bernie now.  4951

all I can think of is the issues Flint, Mich have been fighting :/We had this issue about 3 weeks ago, I thought we had sediment in our water heater, it only lasted 3 days. It would be interesting to see the reports on brown water, should have saved a sample.. 4951

Just got a call from water dude and he is in our neighborhood and said he was going to flush a few more hydrants on our street and see if that helps. I would have to say that's pretty good service ! 4951
