Where's granny?
eltigremadera : You believe a realtor and broker that make money off of you over actual people that live in that neighborhood?
I would add to that, she's lived here 20 years….you can't see what's going on around you? Take a tour in your car and on foot to get a look-see! I have never seen one instance of this here. And this particular one is up in Humble, not KW.
Well just an outsider's perspective. I lived in Sand Creek for 21 years- y'all know I moved to AZ in May. During my 21 years there the greenbelts in Sand Creek, Greentree and Kings Point ( and beyond on bike rides) were my stomping grounds. In the 21 years I have never seen homeless people camping in those 3 areas. I've seen some teens set up hammocks down by the lake in Kings Point in the summer but that's it. We picked Kingwood for the schools and safety. Sure there is crime - it's every where but in general KW is safe. Trust me I've lived in some crime ridden areas- my sister still does. I would move back to Kingwood if I had to move back to Houston. Where I live now - Gilbert is one of the safest towns in the US( their claim to fame they're actually rated in the top 3 in 2022). We chose it because my Dd lives here, we like the welcoming of all vibe, and there's a TON of things to do the town offers it's citizens. Wow what great accolades!! And yet there are many people on the site that shall not be named who call this town a " 3rd world ****hole" ( as someone dear to us calls it).
So I see this thread of a half full/ half empty cup. I go by stats and observation. Yep there is crime everywhere and I am certainly trained in situational awareness and do my best to protect myself and my home. But I'm certainly not going to be afraid to go out and do my stuff and enjoy life. If I had paid attention to all the negativity on that site OR even here- I would've never moved to either place. I guess I'd be in a compound out in the boonies loaded to the hilt. And I'd have cane corsos instead of labs for dogs. Y'all get out there and enjoy what you have! I miss the green- but I guess at this point so do you! 🥵

Labslady : Yes, Kingwood is not a third world *** ****. That is super out of touch! With that being said, I will agree that Kingwood is not what it once was. It is a hell of a lot better than a lot of areas in Houston though.
And this particular one is up in Humble, not KW. At this point, we are NOT in any danger of this taking over our area.
MissAmericanPie : Humble is a good 10, 15 minute drive from Kingwood. You don't think there's ANY danger of it in kingwood?
