I believe words typed are far more real than any business dealing face to face, people are fake in person.

Lol... please look up the definition of "troll" as it relates to message boards/forums. You might reassess your statement.

Words typed can also be contextually misunderstood. I'd much rather be able to discuss face to face... and, would want to build some type of relationship before entering into a business relationship. But, to each their own. 4951

And I don't hate anyone, hate is way to strong of a word. Now I will say that I have little respect for several people, especially the ones making fun of people's feelings.

And if those same people are rejecting a sincere, public apology?? 4951

If you hire someone to do a job and they don't perform to your expectations, do you ask for a refund?

Wonder if Tony is seeking a refund?

If not why?

Is it because he got exactly what he paid for?

Marhopper3:

there is nothing nefarious about what is going on here. so many people seem to want to find a person to hate and blame because they didnt get to see a free fireworks show. they would have if the site had not been moved. no one realized that the show would not be able to be viewed from the high school and town center. there has been an apology. time to move on  4951

No one has mentioned the Houston Chron article, that ive seen.  This thread is off in la la land.  What I found interesting was;"According to Brandon New, an owner of Sky Wonder Pyrotechnics, this year's show was the same display Town Center Park had been getting as was agreed upon contractually."They wanted to discuss a couple of options about moving the site for a better view for the clubhouse," New said. "It's very hard to tell who's going to be able to see what fireworks when it comes to picking a new site, but the main priority is safety."New said the main spectator area was the Clubs of Kingwood."So according to the people who set it up, it was set up mainly for KWCC.  If this is the case shouldn't they have paid for all of it and not half?  The contract is with Town Center.  I guess its just confusing and sounds like communication of what the even actually was not communicated to the Pyrotechnics company and the public.  4951

And Ally, you're a business owner in Kingwood and you seem to be the most vocal and rude of all. Do you expect us to want to do business with you? If you fail in what you're hired to do, do you tell people to suck it up? Do you respond with, oh mistakes happen lol we work so hard that it's fine when we mess up?

Sure sounds like it.

Marhopper3: If you read some of the comments of the "disappointed" people, it is hard to keep a straight face, and not just say what is obvious to pretty much anyone - ie, "get over it".  See this for an example, and I'm not picking on anyone, just trying to show how ridiculous the "hurt" is:  "I braved the traffic, I hauled my cookies and my 2yo grand daughter down there and sat 2 hours in the heat and the crowds so she could see fireworks and it was a bust because the ritchies at the KCC got involved and/or someone changed the location who didn't know what they were doing. You don't want to do them or you want the ritchies at the CC to be the only ones who see them, let me know and Ill go someplace else. The display has gotten shorter and shorter over the last few years anyway and I would just as soon go elsewhere anyway but this was closer. Maybe the Kingwood association could have one with all the money they take out of my pocket instead of sending out letters and siking their attorneys on people for BS. Oh and I certainly did not go to the parade to see them on a float."

Is that a northern term (pox)?  We always called a hex.  Is it stronger or weaker than the evil eye? 4951
