Those witness statements, we'll call it opinion, of course. But then there's the surveillance footage. And now the homeowner's been picked up again, this time by homicide. Not arrested, just detained. See, just because information wears the clothing of opinion doesn't mean it's naked of truth. These days, everything comes slathered in nonsense. You simply have to dig through the **** to find the gold. As for it being too dark to tell, if the footage shows the act in question being committed under the street light to the right side of the of the house...

Scared of home invasion but no 911 call and not too scared to chase them down street. Those 2 do not belong in same scenario.

If I were on the jury I would vote to convict this guy of murder. I just think that people should not die for going to someone's door at 10 at night.

Donnawisdom : Because a stranger is banging on your door and ringing your doorbell at 11pm and the neighborhood you live in is not Kingwood. Its east Houston. The first thing you think of is home invasion .

And if the homeowner gets indicted for the shooting, he is looking at a lawyer costing him more than $40K and more likely close to $90K whether or not he manages to get a verdict of not guilty.

ProblemAgain : No one should have to go through any of this. Where were this child's parent's when he was running around at 11pm?

The footage shows him chasing the boy, pulling the trigger, even firing at a car he merely suspected. Investigators are circling, and the self-defense story? It's unraveling...faster by the hour. Let the parents grieve. They weren't watching their child every second... who does? We all snuck out, misbehaved. Or have we conveniently forgotten being children? Mistakes are made. Some more fatally than others.
