Empathy?
I was not crazy about Disclosure Day and I am glad I just saw it at home for free, but what do you think about this quote:
(Not perfect quote for sure)
Most humans see empathy as a weakness, but we (the aliens) see it as our greatest strength.

Couldn't agree more with it! The alternative is a world of narcissists.
A recent study addressed that. Religious News Service published an article about it. The article includes a link to the study.
The study has data down to religious denomination levels. My team from Rome is not the least empathetic. Good.
You caught my interest... Here's a link to the study for anyone else interested.

I agree that universal empathy would be a strength. I don't think that most people think it's weakness. I think people aren't empathic without making a decision not to be, not because they see it as a weakness.

I wasn't really thinking about immigration when I posted, but for example: I think all peoples could benefit from empathy. The immigrants understanding why they may not be wanted, Americans understanding why they want to come, and especially the unscrupulous people enticing them to come with false promises in exchange for payment.
Immigration is a subject that should be addressed methodically, rationally. There is a school of thought that sees it as a function of natioal and regional planning. Iowa needs farm workers, Michoacan has an excess of them. Targeted migration addresses problems for both states. There isn't much serious discussion of the subject in the US, but if yo are interested, the American Enterprise Institute has some serious people addressing it. There is a really weird US policy going back to post WWII needs that if one pays attention to medical staffing in hospitals one has to wonder how that reality came to be. Ask the nursing staff where they are from. A disproportionate number are Filipino. That is a result of a policy decision by the US Department of Defense. It is still cranking out allied medical services staff.

I can relate to both sides. Want to come because it is a better life. Not wanting to pay more money to help people coming over. I get both sides.
Interesting, right. Some people here think that I like to make unsubstantiated. You, my friend, looked for what I said exists, and voila! Tell them how hard it was.`
#msg6040746Most humans see empathy as a weakness,
My therapist tells me I am an empath. I think she is right. I often feel as though my empathy is a weakness. People can take advantage of me and I can easily get my feelings hurt.
Your genuflection and bow your head worthy Elon Musk said it is. I don't understand why he is a God to so many.
BTW, the study RolloTomasso posted has survey data about American empathy.
"The fundamental weakness of western civilization is empathy," Musk continued to Rogan... Loathe thy neighbor: Elon Musk and the Christian right are waging war on empathy

If people take advantage of your empathy, that is their problem, not yours! THEY are the ones who will ultimately have to answer for that. You just keep doing whatever and however God leads you❣️
