How do you feel about skeleton Halloween decorations; they are everywhere. I think they must be inexpensive. I just don't "get it". When I was a kid Halloween decorations usually had to do with witches, black cats, pumpkins, and ghosts, but not skeletons.

I'm not one for scary and death related symbolism. It's too close to my heart.

Seeing tombstones in a front yard is unpleasant to me, but I also know it isn't meant to offend or trigger feelings of grief.

I prefer to decorate with pumpkins and mums on my front porch . But scary decor is fun for others and I have no place judging their choices.

There were plenty of skeleton decorations when I was a kid they were just flat and made out of cardboard with brass brads or eyelets for the joints so they could be posed.

These modern life sized or larger would be cool if there were a few here and there but since everyone just buys Halloween decorations these days they are boring. And expensive!!

Halloween was very special to me as a kid. I would start at the first of October making my own decorations to set up our yard and I always made my costumes, which were always originals. I used to make dummies and tombstones and all kinds of stuff that was meant to be spooky. Too commercialized now with everything being bought at Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot.

I wondered if it was a sale, over production or just the trend but it seems people don't have just one skeleton, they have LOTS of skeletons! It's better than the blow ups imo.

I like skeletons. Folks just need to get more creative in the displays.

My wife once woke up to a skeleton on my side of the bed. I thought it was funny.

Nope. Don't like them nor any of the demonic type decor. As I've said before, to each his own For me, I don't like the vibes that decor brings.

I like cute Halloween, my husband likes the spooky, so our yard is an odd combination of the two. Those gigantic (12' tall) skeletons are incredibly expensive, and I've driven by yards with ten or more!

I can remember skeletons, way back in the early 60's. Might not have been as prevalent, though, you are right. There was always a full skelly in the corner, in our doctor's treatment room; we always had to go play with it, before the dr came into the room Emoticon

I love the skeletons. I had a ton of them when my kids were little. Passed them to my daughter.

I think with Dia de los Muertos getting more popular, as a celebration, that skeletons have gotten more popular, as well. The use of Sugar Skulls, have helped their being more widely used as decor, etc, too

I don't celebrate Halloween. My 9 year old granddaughter is terrified of the huge skeletons.

I don't celebrate Halloween either. I love to decorate for fall but skeletons and grave stones just aren't my thing. To each their own though.
