Farewell Neiman Marcus! (Flagship) I have so many great memories from that store! My dad always took me for back-to-school clothes there in the 70's-early 80's. Also had my High School Sr photos taken at Gittings Photography there too.

lizzycav : As a kid I did not live near a Neiman Marcus. So many of the great stores have closed over the years. I loved shopping at Joske's, Frost Brothers, and Foley's. They were all grand stores as I am sure Neiman Marcus was.

lizzycav : The Flagship is the downtown Dallas store, but I love the Houston location, and it is not closing. Gittings did my high school pictures in Dallas, too, and the Houston location did the pictures for our the Queen's Court, for the Texas Rice Festival. Great memories!

Kittle : The Basement was Awesome, so many organized palettes of goodies! New, last season goods: Leather gloves cashmere lined was one of my go to finds! My Mother took the train in on 12/26 & came away with lots of unique ornaments. One was a Viking ship.🤣

Kittle LittleTexas: Their 6 story flagship store closed this week. It's the original one in downtown Dallas. I grew up in East Tx (Piney Woods area) & we shopped in Dallas often. Neiman's has planned a $100 Million renovation of their NorthPark Mall location. (Some of the downtown employees are being transferred to that store as well) -- I used to work in the Dallas Apparel Mart when it was booming…. And I sold men's accessories to Neiman's (their buyers were based in the downtown Flagship store)
-- This news shocked me. Big part of my childhood!😭

ExCTGuyInTX : Yes! That was a common phrase directed at NM! I used to sell men's items to Neiman's (wholesale from the Dallas Apparel Mart) **One main item was Alligator belts! The wholesale price in the late 80's was $120. Then NM sold them for $255.
