KW Post Office...What The Frak!

I paid for certified mail service for a letter than has been showing it is at the Austin Distribution center since JUNE the 11th (as in a month ago today...lol!!) I have spoken to 5 different USPS reps; 3 of which said the other rep. doesn't know what they are talking about. One suggested I was the problem because I could just "SEND IT AGAIN!"
It has been quite the incredible/bizarre experience. Those super low Google review ratings that so many USPS branches have are soooo accurate

Darla897 : Contact the USPS OIG and report it. Years ago I sent my friend on the other side of Houston a gift from the Humble post office and she never got it. Issues everywhere.

I am in that process but thank you for bringing that up. Before this, I was unaware of all that could be done. It might not change much at USPS but you never know ... enough complaints and revenue loss CAN turn things around sometimes.

If it were mailed late on July 3rd, that might be a reason.

Yes. The sheer volume despite the chaos, I guess, keeps them in business. I thought when Amazon was going to break up with them it would sound the USPS's death knell but then they kissed and made up so they just keep going. I mean, I don't want them to fail; I just want them to feel they are going to fail enough to fix things ... lol!

Lantern : WOW! If the workers at all the post offices are like my postman it might be because they have no work ethic and smell like a skunk all the time. Half my mail does not get delivered to me. The KW post office is a joke! I am afraid to complain as I have heard my service will only get worse if I do.

I sent a package as an express international service, 5-7 days is what I was told unless it got stuck in customs. It was just legal papers, so doubted that would delay it. Brought to post office in Minnesota (Kingwood isn't the only sucky post office). Paid for package with a target date of Jan 15 for delivery in Argentina. As you can see, for some reason it spent 12 days getting to Indianapolis 😳, why? Chicago is closer and it went to Chicago from Indy. Was in transit to Chicago and then spent 5 days there. Then spent the next 3 weeks apparently hitch hiking to Miami, and probably had to walk most of the way. Package didn't arrive in Miami until February 15, spent 5 lovely days in Miami, package was thankful to get out of the cold of the north. On February 20 the package apparently actually got to fly because it arrived the next day in Buenos Aires. So it took almost 7 weeks just to leave the states 😳. Only 2 weeks to get to tiny town it was mailed to in Argentina. If I had known that post office's 5-7 days really meant weeks, I would have sent it FedEx.
Second package was just as unusual because it was just a purchase shipped from Fountain Hills Arizona, went to Phoenix, Dallas then to Houston distribution center just to be sent to Sacramento before coming back to Texas again. I got it, but why do they do this? Mess with a person's business? Mess with person receiving pkg (me)? Disgruntled employees messing with employer?
3rd time, no picture, I just sent a regular letter. Put a letter in my mailbox in April to my brother in Chicago. To date it has not arrived. Just 2 sheets of paper, never made it.

send them from the post office in New Caney. Easy to get to, right off of the 59N feeder, and they are well staffed, well organized and always good customer service. I have had to mail something the week before Christmas and they do a great job, even then, of keeping things moving there.
