I'm not sure about the vendors, but with the parking and it being a Sunday, there's bank, day care, medical practices, etc. parking lots off of Bens Branch that should be available.

KW Mardi Gras Event Read an article that Kingwood will be hosting a Mardi Gras Event at Town Square this Sunday. Besides the food vendors what other vendors are usually there? Are the food vendors mostly Cajun/Creole Vendors with Louisiana style food? Also, where can you park if street parking is filled. I was thinking in the old HEB parking lot or across the street by ACE hardware. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if they have towed cars in the past? Sounds like something to do.
This is the first that I am hearing of this. Please share any more details. Thanks.

cbear : I can't find a lot of information about the event for this year. I know it's been held annually.
It starts in Bens Branch Drive at Kindercare and takes one clockwise circuit of the Park. Dan Crenshaw is the Grand Marshall
I think the old hot rod parade which should be part of the floats are scheduled at 2 PM.
This will be the shortest parade Dan Crenshaw will ever be the Grand Marshall of!
One year there wasn't very many people there and they circled twice to get rid of all the candy that was leftover!

Humble Area Retired Teachers will also be giving out free books to school-age children, K-12 , at Mardi Gras. We have many brand new and gently-used books, so come and enjoy! In regards to parking, the best place across the street at the ACE parking area or even in the area around the new Sprouts across the street. It is about the same distance.

We used to park over in the lot where the Walgreens/Hallmark is in ( old HEB lot), and walk over to the park for the fun. Quick walk, and when it was all over, it was easier to get back on the road, since we were parked a bit away from the thick of it. Easier to head back down WLHP to Northpark, and cut across Woodlands Hills, if you live in the front of KW. No traffic snarl over there.

I think we are talking about the same lot ( Hallmark, the old HEB which we be Sprouts, etc?) we parked along the bushes/opposite edge of the lot there, close to the road, not the businesses, themselves. At that time, there were no signs about towing there, and many parked there, of course, not in the spots Right by the business doors. Honestly, these events bring business locally, so I can't imagine they would tow someone in places along the opposite lot's curb? I would imagine you will see others doing this there, and in the parking lot where Jeweler's Bench, etc, is, across the street, too.
