Mahjong?

It's basically a matching game, and most of the apps you download have a tutorial that walks you thru the first few moves to get you started.

Online Mahjong is the matching game, but in person it is a game where you try to create specific hands based on the tiles you pick. I would say it is pretty fun and not hard to learn. A friend is actually teaching this at the community college.

maditorrent : I would love to learn too!

maditorrent :
I do not play but heard about this guy on TV this week. mahjwithlance.com/

bigla :
We would need four people and a board and tiles, which are quite expensive from what I've seen. Hopefully someone who has them already sees this and we can all get together!

maditorrent :
I have friends taking classes in the heights. I want to learn also but dont want to go to the heights.

I've only played on the computer. It's fun.

sebastian2 :
As in Lone Star Kingwood?
Is it a part of the Lifetime Learning Program?

muffy :
yes

If you never matched things in kindergarten.......damn. Life must be hard for ya.

muffy : There are a few on the Spring schedule in KW and various levels. The KW community center has it, I think on Tuesday and Thursdays in the morning. Fuzzy's Tacos has a Mahjong night on Mondays and I saw this on a KW Mahjong Facebook. Hope these help.

Dang I wish I was still in Kingwood- we used to play with friends in Ohio all the time. I've forgotten most of the rules. It's a game of skill and luck, somewhat like gin rummy- but more complicated and nothing like the matching game online

FeralHermit : Same! It was my favorite growing up!
