Looks like Keke's Breakfast Cafe is making good progress with seating and decor. Sign on the door says they will be closed until February 2026. ( 716 Kingwood Dr, Planet Fitness / Old Randall's shopping center )

Joe : Is it just me or does that seem like a long time for the opening? It seems they have been working on it for a couple of months but I may be mistaken. I bet the new Trader Joe's will be good for business since it will bring people in from other areas besides Kingwood.
teatime : Funny..... I just said yesterday that TJ's was coming up fast. Of course the building was already formatted for a grocer so that helps.

I believe I read that they're owned by Denny's. I wonder what the difference is in the breakfast between them and Denny's. Neither my wife nor I are fans of the Flying Biscuit. We tried that place twice, and both times we had very poor service and maple syrup with zero taste. Hopefully this place is better.
Ticagro : They claim they're completely independently operated...I guess we'll see when it opens. Denny's hasn't been doing great, and they acquired Keke's just three years ago, trying to get into the more upscale breakfast restaurant market.

Joe : Yall know I hate this population explosion. I complain of it often. For various causes do I attribute this explosion. That is all I am liberty to say on this side of fence 😊. I twitch when I pass the thousands of apartment and track houses going up along hiway 59 😩😩😩

Joe : No, I LOVE these new businesses……I just don't like sharing them with outsiders. 😆😆
