East End: K sticker?

Yes, pretty easy to get. Need vehicle information. Office used to be up front in old chase building. IDK if still there. I dont think there's a fee.

I don't think you need one - unless it's changed recently, there is not a sign requiring it.

Absolutely you need a K sticker otherwise your vehicle may be towed. I suggest you call first as they require certain proof of residency. It's a breeze to get one if you are properly documented. Kingwood Association Management

I rarely see any vehicle with a K sticker at East End including ours. I would never place that hideous sticker on one of our vehicles. Maybe it's a chance we take but I have never had an issue nor have seen anyone towed or ticketed. Maybe it's my luck.

Just be careful. Cars routinely have windows smashed there. When you park look for recent glass on the ground. I found out the hard way. I was gone from my car for 5 minutes only because it began to rain and my passenger window was smashed. No bags or valuable were in the car. When I reported to police they told me it was fairly common at that lot. I wish they would put a camera there.

Weigh the cost of a towing fee(about $250. against the cost of the sticker $0. and make your choice but don't come griping to us if you don't get one and it happens. You've been warned!

luannski: they really ought to just mail everyone a few stickers when we pay our dues. Having to show up with ID, proof of insurance, proof of address, and a filled out form is overkill, IMHO.

This question has been asked on this site several times and is usually answered incorrectly. You do not need a K sticker to park in East End Park. I use to believe it was needed as the park is a KSA park. The truth is that the parking area is not part of the KSA owned property. It's owned by the City Of Houston. It is property connected to and provides access to the water pumping station to the south. The KSA property does not start till the yellow gate entrance past the parking area. I've looked up the plat maps to verify this. Since the parking lot is not KSA property they have no authority to enforce any kind of parking policy or towing. The parking lot at Rivergrove is inside and on KSA property and they do enforce the "K" sticker requirement there. Rivergrove has signs posted and Eastend does not.

KingwoodNana : My understanding is non Kingwood residents can pay a fee and get K stickers and pool tags. As the facilities are maintained by Kingwood residents' HOA fees, non residents who do not pay HOA fees share the expenses via stickers and pool tags fees.
