Chelsea's Deli--I know it's been there forever and I really enjoy their food, but it's really looking pretty run down inside. All those cartons in the back in full view, the rest rooms haven't been updated in decades. Given how much business they get, I wish they would update and clean up.

ChesterAtkins : Maybe they keep it that way so less people "eat in" lol Their chicken salad on a croissant is so good. They could tidy up a bit though. Might help get more people to come.

I love their food but I don't eat in there. It's so depressing. I just hope their kitchen is clean. I pick up my order and run for the door!
EasyPeasy : Same. I always get an order to go. Come home and eat and sometimes eat on the patio when the weather is nice. Love their Chef Salads!

Everyone I know in the restaurant industry is struggling to stay open these days. Revamping and remodeling is not on anyone's radar or budget, right now. For those of us that have lived here half a century, we are very grateful Chelsea's has survived. We native KW residents all wax nostalgic missing Chezzies Ice Cream, Ol' Timers, Cliff's, Dairy Princess, Pagoda, Casa Elena, Pop's, Mencius…. If you can afford to eat out, please keep supporting our few remaining, but long existing, Mom & Pop establishments; Hunan Garden, J. Christopher's, and Chelsea's.
JamminTX : If you remember Dairy Princess, you must be old like me! My friends and I used to walk through the woods in Forest Cove and cross the tracks to get to DP!

cardinalsong : This is why I don't go there anymore. I don't care how good the food may be, if the dining area is repulsive, how can you enjoy your food. It's also a turn off knowing how unkept the place is even when the order is takeout. Makes you wonder what the kitchen and prep area looks like if they don't care how the dining area looks.
