What's up at IAH, Terminal C
My flight was weather delayed out of Chicago, didn't land at IAH until 1:30 AM.
While leaving Terminal E and entering Terminal C, I see an entire gate full of tan Coleman cots with adults and kids asleep on them. This is, of course, inside the secure area. Didn't see a gate agent there, just all these sleeping people. Wondering if I'm the only one who finds that weird.

billcherie2 : Yes 1:30 in the morning. I had already been up for 22 hours. Then I had to sleep walk for 20 minutes to get my luggage. Sucked.
QueenB : Maybe an international flight was delayed and they're not letting anyone through security or customs until the next flight?
RolloTomaso : They were already through security, sleeping at a gate in a domestic terminal. But who knows!
QueenB : That is very weird . No way would I feel safe in those circumstances. What happened to hotel rooms being comped when flights are delayed?

QueenB : In a lot of my international travel, I would see people sleeping on whatever they could find, or had in their carry-on luggage. This is the time of year when lots of youth groups / students are returning hope from camps, trips, etc., and they could have had flight delays prompting them to break out their own stuff to sleep and wait for reschedules. « Back to Chat
